Rule 7
Safe keeping of questionable meat
(1) In the course of meat inspection, if any meat is found to be questionable for human consumption, the meat inspector shall stop the distribution of such meat until it has been tested.
(2) If the meat of the slaughtered animal or any part of it is not suitable for human consumption, the relevant animal slaughterhouse operator shall place or destroy such meat under the authority of the meat inspector or meat supervisor.
(3) According to sub-rule (1), such meat shall be kept safely until the meat is tested as per sub-rule (1) and the laboratory and equipment necessary to immediately test the meat shall be arranged in the relevant animal slaughterhouse.
